- is the subject of an oppressive environment aimed at coercing or intimidating employees
- receives offensive notes, email or phone messages
- is maliciously excluded and isolated from workplace activities and promotional opportunities
- is humiliated through gestures, or sarcastic, racist, or derogatory comments, often in front of others
- is the subject of gossip and rumours which are spread with intent to cause damage to the employee's reputation
- is the subject of inequitable use of performance management information
- is overloaded with work, or not being given enough work
- is required to perform tasks without proper training or instruction
- is expected to work unreasonable overtime, receives unfair rostering and allocation of work or is asked to perform non-work related duties.
